The first event in the Ravago EPS Technical Webinars series, organized by Ravago EPS, will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The live webinar will focus on the development of geofoam geotechnology in Türkiye, its engineering applications and current areas of use. Prof. Dr. Tolga Özer, Managing Director of Geotech Soil and Foundation Engineering and faculty member at Gebze Technical University, will participate as the guest speaker.
The webinar will be moderated by Remzi Uysal, Technical Applications Manager at Ravago EPS Kimya A.Ş., and will be open to engineers and consultants working in geotechnical engineering, infrastructure and transportation, as well as industry professionals and all participants interested in the subject.
Geofoam Geotechnology to Be Evaluated from a Technical Perspective
The webinar will examine the development of Geofoam technology, which is becoming increasingly widespread in Türkiye, and its role in geotechnical engineering applications. The engineering advantages provided by EPS Geofoam blocks as a lightweight fill solution under different project conditions, together with design and construction principles and technical issues encountered in the field, will be discussed.
The webinar will primarily cover the following topics:
- Development of Geofoam geotechnology in Türkiye
- Engineering solutions developed using Geofoam technology
- Frequently encountered questions in design and construction processes
- Case studies from real projects
- Evaluation of the long-term performance of Geofoam applications
Drawing on his academic studies and field experience gained from Geofoam projects of different scales, Prof. Dr. Tolga Özer will share technical assessments on the current applications of the technology and its potential for future use.
